2005 Origami Festival
"Paper Planes" by Kevin Box

Ping Lau - I have loved origami since I was a kid. Creating a three dimensional object out of a piece of paper has always fascinated me.
As an artist, Ping Lau's favorite medium has always been paper; which she sculpts, folds, and binds. She has folded a wide array of origami models and has also created a line of unique greeting cards - Paper Theatre. In addition, Ping makes hand-bound journals and artist books, many of which have found their way into private collections.

Ping has well over ten years experience in handmade greeting cards.  Many of her designs have been sold to Neiman-Marcus, Barney's New York, The Kennedy Center, and Tansu. Her work is represented in over 160 stores and galleries throughout the United States, Canada, Australia, France, Italy, Switzerland, Hong Kong, and Japan.  Ping is also a member of Origami Houston and has taught origami at The Heritage Society event and at Tansu.

"Along my journey, I have found that each piece of paper has its own story to share." ~ Ping Lau
