Sandy Atha - As each fold comes closer to completion, I feel like a midwife, tensely awaiting the birth of a new creation to be enjoyed by everyone.
Sandy has nearly 30 years of experience in the paper arts as a master book binder.  As a single mother of three, building a new life in Hawaii in the 80's, Sandy attended her first origami class.  She gained a great deal of respect and interest in the art, but chose to focus her artistic energies into mastering the art of book binding.

Over the past year, Sandy has fallen in love with the art of origami and has folded an impressive array of origami forms.  Tansu proprietor, Lara Hill-Pavlik, says "I think we are going to have to get Sandy into a twelve-step program.  She has truly become a folding addict!"
