A move to Texas in 1998 started Suzan pursuing her dream of becoming an artist, leaving floral and garden design far behind in her native Ohio. While in Houston she attended the Glassell School of Art, studied privately with various artists, and took Chinese brush painting instruction at Rice University. She quickly determined that mixed media collage was the best way for her to express herself because it incorporates an endless combination of all the techniques that she is so passionate about, including Chinese brush painting. She currently teaches art classes at the C.G. Jung Center in Houston and two galleries are representing her work.
