Origami Connected Cranes
Mother Crane Feeding Her Baby Friday, July 7th, 2006, 6-7:30pm Difficulty Level: Intermediate Taught by Ping Lau |
||||||||||||||
| The connected cranes style of folding is called Rokoan Tsunagiori, and was created by Rokoan Gido (1761-1834), a Buddhist priest. You will fold a pair of connected cranes all out of a single sheet of paper that is cut into a series of connecting squares. Some origami artists base almost all their artwork on the connected crane technique. This is a fabulous introduction to the art. NOTE: This is an intermediate level workshop, we recommend that students be familiar with the basic folds of origami. If you need to learn these basic folds we recommend taking the Learning the Folds workshop. Class size will be limited, paid reservations can be made by phone. Cost $25 - includes instructions & all materials. |
