Fold a special origami crane for the Sunshine Kids! In the Asian traditions, the crane is a symbol of peace and long life and it is believed that folding 1000 origami paper cranes makes a wish come true, as well as granting health and long life. We are inviting you to fold origami cranes for and make donations to the Sunshine Kids Foundation to help make their wishes come true. Instructions on how to fold the origami crane as well as a special piece of origami paper designed by master origami artist Linda Mihara is available for download free of charge. On this special origami paper, you can write a wish or positive thought on top of the wings of the origami crane. These cranes can be mailed to or brought into Tansu and once all the cranes are collected, they will be presented to the Sunshine Kids. We are hoping to collect thousands of these cranes for the children, so please fold as many as you wish and please tell and email your friends to do the same. |
